URSSAF: tougher action to collect AA contributions

Actions to collect Artistes Auteurs contributions have resumed since the end of 2023. From November 2023 (for the oldest debts) to today, an amicable phase has made it possible to recover the oldest debts.
AAs in arrears with their social security contributions were contacted during this period:
- telephone call for all debts in excess of 1,500 euros and sending of an amicable notice for lower debts,
- Sending of a formal notice by LR/AR,
- Second telephone call for debtors with the highest debts,
- sending a final notice before legal action.
Many artists reacted to these contacts. Exchanges with Urssaf are currently being processed.
For the others, URSSAF is now initiating enforced collection action, and the AAs concerned will receive a visit from a judicial commissioner (ex. bailiffs).
NB: Debts covered by a payment schedule granted by Urssaf will not be affected by these forced collection measures.
