As we announced here last year, a third measure to support artists/authors had been provided for in the amended finance law of July 19, 2020.

The decree of July 22, 2022 sets out the details:

Who can benefit?
All artists

- whose 2019 artistic income is equal to or greater than €1,000

- and have seen their artistic income fall by at least 20% between 2019 and 2021.

What is it about?

Covid-19 n°3 provides a reduction of up to €2,000 in social security contributions (excluding contributions to professional training) due for 2021 (up to the limit of contributions due). This reduction is calculated on the basis of your artistic income in 2019 and the drop in this income between 2019 and 2021.

What do I have to do to benefit from this aid?
URSSAF takes care of everything.

If you declare your income as non-commercial profits (BNC)
Urssaf will deduct Covid-19 n°3 from your contributions for 2021.
If the aid exceeds your contributions for 2021, the balance will be deducted directly from your forecast contributions for 2022.

You declare your income as wages and salaries (TS)
The amount of the reimbursement is paid directly to you.
If you have already sent your RIB to Urssaf, reimbursement is automatic.
If not, please complete and return the RIB request form enclosed with your final payment schedule. Your bank details will only be used for this reimbursement.

How much will I receive?
The amount of 3 Covid-19 assistance is calculated on the basis of your artistic income in 2019 and the drop in this income between 2019 and 2021.
