Password hacking

Be careful when entering personal data on the Internet or when you receive messages asking you to provide or update personal data;

Do not reply to suspicious e-mails and delete them immediately;

Do not communicate confidential data (credit card number, password, etc.) by clicking on a link sent by e-mail: go to the site concerned (bank, administration, etc.) from its official home page;

When consulting or entering confidential information (banking sites, etc.), make sure that data encryption is activated: the site address must begin with "https" (and not http) and the browser must display a small padlock next to this address;

Not the same password on all sites

especially important sites (tax, caf) and private sale accounts...

strong passwords

sotcker passwords in a secure digital safe (and not a txt file entitled password)

ex :keepass (free)

back-up encrypted password database on online service/USB stick

protect the encrypted database with a strong password, which is the only one that needs to be remembered

consider by default that the password used to connect to a Windows or Mac session, or the reason for unlocking a phone, are not secure (they can be cracked in less than 30 seconds), so don't save passwords for sensitive sites on your computer/tel, or know that in this case, saved passwords will be accessible in less than 2 minutes.

Change your Mutuelle/CAF password

Request two-factor authentication for all sites that allow it.

If you're out and about, or if you're using public wifi, any data sent can be intercepted, so it's best to wait until you get home.

Your browser will probably ask you whether you're using a public or private network. If you specify public, there are some things that Windows, for example, will not let you do.

Allow site notifications, so you'll know if someone has tried to log in and/or make changes to your account.

If you observe a suspicious connection (place of connection, date...), don't hesitate to report it to the relevant police authorities (see online service).
