It is with great sadness that the Union des Photographes Professionnels has learned of the death of Jean-Daniel Sudres, taken by an illness that did not give him time to suffer too much.
The Union des Photographes Professionnels, through the voice of its Board of Directors, sends its most sincere condolences to his wife Solange, his children and his family, and associates itself with their grief.
Jacques Sierpinski pays tribute to him in these words:
"With Jean-Daniel we have shared a life devoted to photography since our first meeting in 1979; he was then artistic director of Cap Théojac editions."
"At that time, we joined the SCOPE photographic agency, then followed a rather similar evolution with collaborations for the press and publishing."
"Jean-Daniel was a great professional, I owe many of my contacts to him, he was generous, utopian, also dreaming of another world..."
"He gave everything for his profession, he fought for a long time within the associations that represent us such as the SAIF and the UPP so that photographers' rights would be respected"
"He's also a friend...hello friend".
